Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at Jobot. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial management and accounting functions of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and goals in collaboration with the CFO and leadership team.
  • Establish and maintain sound internal financial management control systems and procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and operating reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage compliance with DOL, IRS, 401(k), and medical regulations, as well as DCAA and other compliance requirements for publicly-funded projects.
  • Coordinate with the CPA firm for external audit materials, external GAAP financial reporting, and tax compliance and reporting.
  • Manage annual audit and auditor relations, and prepare monthly business review packages for the platform CFO.
  • Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports of key financial and operational metric trends.
  • Initiate and optimize strategies to enhance cash flow and working capital positions.
  • Assess organizational performance against budgets with functional leaders and management team.
  • Manage ongoing banking and bonding requirements, and lead ERP system deployment and operation.
  • Ensure all employees embrace our safety culture and comply with all safety initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a CPA certification required and an MBA desired.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Controller, with strong cost accounting skills, including standard costing processes and percentage of completion (POC) revenue recognition.
  • Solid inventory management skills, with a strong leadership presence and a proactive attitude.
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to develop strategies to help achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Actively participates in meetings, presents himself/herself in a professional manner, and adapts to changes in the work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrate exceptional follow-through.
  • Occasional travel, including overnight, if necessary, and a proactive partner with the leadership/management team.
