Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Lead Risk Evaluator to oversee the assessment of new business and renewal risks for Aspirus Health Plan. This role is pivotal in establishing appropriate rates based on the inherent risks while fostering robust relationships with prospective and existing groups.

Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage the evaluation of risks associated with new and renewing business.
- Set rates that align with the underlying risks while supporting company enrollment and profitability goals.
- Conduct underwriting using a blended, experience-rated methodology for both self-insured and fully insured employers.
- Provide stop-loss specific and aggregate pricing for large self-insured groups.
- Mentor and assist in the development of junior underwriters and contribute to the formulation of departmental policies and procedures.

Work Schedule:
Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in large group underwriting.
- Wisconsin Sales License is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Access database is advantageous.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
