Job Summary

The HVAC Services Technician II is a key role in our team, responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and installing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components/equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent communication skills to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC & refrigeration equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repair of HVAC & refrigeration equipment, including atmospheric boilers, water-cooled chillers, and energy recovery ventilators.
  • Customer Communication: Establish and maintain clear communications with customers, both on and off job sites, to ensure prompt resolution of issues and exceptional customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory and tool procurement for individual service vehicles, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote and perform all aspects of Bernhard's safety procedures and policies, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Maintenance experience with chillers, boilers, pumps, AHU's, and other equipment, with a strong understanding of mechanical and diagnostic principles.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Detail-oriented and able to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment, with a strong ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
  • Industry Knowledge: Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors, with a strong understanding of market trends and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed Technician: Current Licensed Technician or verifiable experience in service of commercial HVAC & refrigeration systems.
  • EPA Certification: Holds an EPA Certification, with a strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification, with a strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel Frequency: 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job sites/office locations.
Physical/Work Environment Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, with the ability to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
  • Work Environment: Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, with the ability to operate machinery and/or power tools, and navigate outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
