Pediatric Dietitian Opportunity

Morrison Healthcare, a leading national food and nutrition services company, seeks a skilled Pediatric Dietitian to join their team at Westchester Medical Center. This tertiary care Level I trauma center includes a children's hospital, behavioral health center, and outpatient clinics.

The successful candidate will work primarily with general pediatric units and be part of a team covering NICU, general pediatrics, and other specialty areas.

About the Role:

  • Assess the nutritional status of patients in specialty areas such as NICU, general pediatrics, and train patient services staff and interns as applicable.
  • Foster teamwork and establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs leading to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes.
  • Comply with regulatory standards and participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized nutrition plans for pediatric patients.
  • Train and mentor patient services staff and interns on proper nutrition practices.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in clinical nutrition outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement evidence-based nutrition protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board, in states where required.
  • Two (2) years of experience in area of specialty preferred.
  • Specialty certification when applicable.
