Job Summary

Versiti Inc. is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in Waukesha. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from donors and ensuring the highest level of customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from donors using phlebotomy equipment and techniques
  • Perform donor screening and mini-physicals to ensure donor eligibility
  • Operate automation equipment, including Alyx and Trima, to collect blood samples
  • Recruit and convert donors for automation
  • Prepare and pack units for transport
  • Observe donors for reactions and provide reaction care as needed
  • Rebook donors for future donation appointments
  • May operate mobile drive buses and transport staff, supplies, and equipment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a phlebotomy or medical laboratory setting preferred
  • Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including Standard Operating Procedures and safety rules
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions
  • Flexibility to work independently and with a team, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills

Work Environment

Versiti Inc. is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a Phlebotomist, you will work in a team-based setting, interacting with donors, coordinators, and other staff members to deliver an excellent donation experience.

Must have availability from 4:00am-10:00pm, including weekends and holidays - hours vary daily. Full-time opportunity with 5 days per week during training and 4 days per week following training.
