Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Baggage Handling Systems Engineer to join our team at Swanson Rink. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing baggage handling systems for airports around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop baggage handling systems, including product selection and 3-dimensional layout, to meet TSA Program Guideline Design Standards (PGDS) and project throughput requirements.
  • Perform required flight schedule/static model analysis to determine the design year peak hour baggage load.
  • Attend periodic onsite inspections during the construction phase.
  • Perform onsite testing, start-up, and commissioning of completed systems in accordance with PGDS standards.
  • Provide support for fueling, boarding bridges, and other airport systems.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
  • Must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass background checks, security screenings, and drug testing as required by TSA, our clients, and/or Federal contracts.
  • Must be available to travel occasionally.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
