Special Education Teacher Opportunity

Soliant is looking for a committed Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract role within a school district. This position involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver essential educational services to students in grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to students with varied needs in a K-8 environment.
  • Create and execute individualized education plans (IEPs) for around 16 students.
  • Work alongside fellow educators, therapists, and support personnel to ensure a holistic approach to each student's educational journey.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Engage in effective communication with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student achievements and requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid Michigan Standard or Professional Certificate.
  • Any endorsement in areas such as Cognitive Impairment, Speech/Language Impairment, Physical/Health Impairment, Emotional Impairments, Learning Disabilities, or Autism.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary setting with K-8 students.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and execution.
