We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at CHSGa. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care to patients, including personal grooming and hygiene, to ensure their comfort and well-being.
  • Support patients with care such as oral, denture, and skin care, as needed.
  • Assist patients with daily care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and bathroom assistance.
  • Transfer patients safely and efficiently, using the correct use of transfer belts.
  • Take vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and respiration, and record the information accurately.
  • Assist patients to the dining area for meals and may be required to assist with feeding and documenting intake.
  • Provide personal grooming services, such as brushing hair, trimming fingernails and toenails, and shaving.
  • Turn patients intermittently if they are bedridden due to illness.
  • Document and report information regarding patients' health, I&O, any change in medical condition, and care given.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as requested.
  • Understand and utilize care plans to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Identify the four basic food groups on a sample breakfast, lunch, and dinner meal.
  • Apply and release restraints and provide exercise to patients.
  • Practice proper body mechanics while moving or transferring patients.
  • Provide range of motion exercises for patients.
  • Recognize and report signs/symptoms of abuse and/or change in condition.
  • Document accurately in accordance with established guidelines.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or its equivalent is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the State of Georgia is required.
