About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Mental Health Fellow to join our team. As a Mental Health Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Psychotherapy Services: Provide individual and group psychotherapy services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in Clinical Supervision: Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions to develop your clinical skills and receive feedback from experienced mental health professionals.
  • Attend Training and Education Sessions: Attend training and education sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in mental health.
  • Contribute to Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to patients.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • License: Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (California) or Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (California) or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor Registration (California) required at hire.
  • Experience: Successful completion of pre-masters internships in mental health settings. No applicant who has more than 2000 hours of supervision towards licensure will be accepted into the Training Program in their first training year by program start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Working with Adult and/or Child and Adolescent Populations: Experience and/or training in working with adult and/or child and adolescent populations, including chemical dependency, IOP, and bilingual clinical therapy populations.
  • Experience in Clinical Case Management: Experience and/or training in clinical case management, including establishing psychosocial diagnoses and providing standard psychotherapeutic services.
  • Experience in Group Therapy: Experience and/or training in group therapy, including teaching patients skills such as pacing, medication management, staying active, relaxation techniques, and positive thinking.
