Job Summary

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model.

They work with other healthcare staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently, diagnosing patient responses to health issues and creating care plans accordingly.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize needs and create, implement, and assess care plans to achieve outcomes
  • Adapt plans as necessary
  • Observe indicators closely and support evidence-based changes with research and hands-on learning
  • Create a caring, safe environment for patients, families, and staff
  • Build relationships with boundaries in mind and focus on managing emotional and physical pain to promote healing and reduce suffering
  • Facilitate learning for all members of the healthcare team, including patients, families, and nursing staff, ensuring everyone is well-informed
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and the community to develop and execute an integrated plan of care
Requirements
  • Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures
  • Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit
  • Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention
  • Effective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders
  • Possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial
  • Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required
  • Basic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments

Qualifications
