The primary role involves fostering a welcoming atmosphere and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal Unarmed Security Officer will monitor and report activities and incidents at designated locations, ensuring the safety of property and personnel while conducting regular patrols to identify any irregularities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, ensuring the safety and security of property and personnel.
- Conduct regular patrols to identify irregularities and inspect security systems and fire safety equipment.
- Maintain order and enforce regulations and directives related to personnel, visitors, and premises.
- Control access to the facility through the admittance process.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle; check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security breaches, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical issues, and unauthorized individuals.
- Safeguard evidence or the scene of an incident in case of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
- Respond to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, elevator emergencies, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other situations.
- Prepare logs and reports as required.
Candidates must meet and maintain any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers. Additional qualifications include:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Possession of a guard card, or ability to obtain one.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Reliable means of communication (e.g., pager or phone) and transportation (public or private).
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Willingness to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug testing and background checks.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain courteous telephone manners.
- Ability to remain composed in unusual circumstances.
- Adaptability to changes in the external environment and organization.
- Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports.
- Good organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- Guard Card (Required).
- ABC Training (Alcohol Beverage Control).
- OC/Pepper Spray Permit.
- First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred).
- Club/Nightlife Security: 1-2 years (Preferred).
- West Hollywood, CA.
- $19-21/hour.
