Job Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the overall cleanliness and maintenance of Erie Insurance Arena and its grounds. This position involves supervising part-time housekeeping staff, promoting a safe environment, and ensuring quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Direct, coordinate, and participate in the general cleaning of all front of house and back of house areas, restrooms, and administrative offices.
  • Staff Management: Supervise part-time housekeeping staff, promote a safe environment, and ensure quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Maintain housekeeping equipment, including brooms, mops, buckets, gloves, bags, vacuums, scrubbers, and chemical dispensers.
  • Scheduling and Budgeting: Work with the Operations Manager to create and modify a monthly, weekly, and daily cleaning schedule for Erie Insurance Arena, and ensure that all cleaning assignments are completed during part-time housekeeping employees' shifts.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with all facility departments, attend planning meetings to plan effective staffing levels, and enforce safety regulations with staff.
  • Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions with staff on proper use of equipment, proper cleaning techniques, and proper use of chemicals.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform common supervisory functions, including planning, organizing, communicating, and other general related functions, and assist with general administrative and various other duties as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma, 1-2 years of custodial or housekeeping experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, climb, lift 50 pounds, and have manual dexterity and motor coordination.
  • Background Check: Must pass a background check.
  • Driver's License: Must possess a valid Driver's License.
