Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts maintenance services and repairs in specialized technical trades for the organization's facilities. Ensures the efficient operation of facilities and equipment, as well as the upkeep of all support machinery. Guarantees that all systems, including utility infrastructure, are operational and compliant with inspection standards. Complies with safety and environmental regulations.
  • LANDSCAPING TECHNICIAN: Aids in landscape upkeep; assists in maintaining mechanical equipment and irrigation systems as directed; supports snow removal efforts.
  • STRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE: Collaborates with a team responsible for carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks related to facility upkeep.
  • ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE: Works within a team focused on electrical distribution systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • HVAC OPERATIONS: Engages in a team responsible for HVAC maintenance and related services. Assists with service requests, testing, and safety system inspections.
  • PLUMBING SERVICES: Participates in a team responsible for plumbing and mechanical systems related to facility maintenance.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Supervisor/Manager

Typical Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: At least two years of relevant work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: General understanding of HVAC mechanical systems. Familiarity with codes, principles, and techniques for HVAC systems. Proficient in using mechanical testing equipment. Skills in carpentry, painting, electrical maintenance, plumbing, and HVAC operations. Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC systems and interpret technical drawings.

Additional criteria, including leadership skills, competencies, and experiences, may be prioritized.

Staffing exceptions require approval from the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.

Work Environment:

Overtime Eligibility: Eligible (Non-Exempt)

Working Conditions: Building maintenance environment. Overtime and non-standard hours may be required. May involve outdoor work in various weather conditions. Involves lifting heavy objects and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
