THE ROLE
  • Inspire TK/K-6th grade students through social-emotional learning and enrichment activities such as STEAM.
  • Facilitate lessons designed to spark enthusiasm for learning.
  • Assist with homework completion and snack distribution.
  • Effectively manage student behavior (up to 20 students) with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure student safety during outdoor activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with staff and engage in professional development.
  • Act as a positive role model to foster students' self-esteem and emotional wellness.
ABOUT YOU
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin.
  • Experience working successfully with elementary and/or middle school children.
  • Ability to design and implement engaging lesson plans while maintaining organization and accuracy in activities.
  • Skilled in supporting children's behavioral management needs.
  • Capable of connecting with students and creating positive learning experiences.
  • Able to improvise, adapt, and take initiative based on student needs.
  • Approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with children.
  • Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
  • Comfortable using online platforms for training and resources.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, parents, and fellow coaches.
Additional Requirements
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
  • Eligible to work in the United States, able to complete and pass a background check and health screening.
  • 1-2 years of experience in education, coaching, child development, or related fields preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Willingness to adhere to health protocols as outlined by the school.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move about frequently to accomplish tasks or transition between locations.
  • Capable of sitting or standing for extended periods.
  • Occasional running and engaging in other physically demanding activities.
  • Able to navigate safely on uneven terrain regularly.
