Job Summary

Ascension is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Borgess Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to patients in the Surgery Recovery Room. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the Surgery Recovery Room.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Participate in open discussion with patients and families to identify mutual goals and develop a plan of care.
Evaluate patient outcomes and revise the care plan as necessary.
Assess, detect, monitor, and attempt to prevent complications associated with health situations or treatment plans.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
Finger Printing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Licensed Registered Nurse obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education: Associates of Applied Science in Nursing (AAS) Degree or Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or RN Diploma at start date required.
