Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team at Med-Trans Corporation. As a Flight Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care to patients
  • Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care records
  • Perform daily base checks, including narcotic counts
  • Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences
  • Document required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures
  • Knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs
  • Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
  • Function as a medical flight member, attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings
  • Assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance as needed
  • Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment
  • Conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed
  • Fulfill open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area
