Job Title: Automation Equipment Supervisor

Traditional Medicinals, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Equipment Supervisor to join our team in Sebastopol, CA. This is an onsite role, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of automation equipment in our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and supervise the operation of automation equipment to ensure consistent production levels and minimize downtime.
  • Implement and manage automation equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to prevent and address equipment malfunctions promptly.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to ensure they operate automation equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry.
  • 3 years of automation experience or relevant background.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in automation, engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in the operation and maintenance of automation equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards related to automation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to recognize and clearly report information at multiple layers of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and guide others.
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming concepts, computer network technology, HMI, Servo & Frequency Drives, Control Net, Device Net, and Ethernet.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and motivate others to persist in times of challenge or uncertainty.
  • Working knowledge of industrial power and electrical system infrastructure.
  • Skills in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • High self-motivation and ability to perform with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be punctual, organized, motivated, and detail-oriented.
