About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team as a Full-Time Cake Artist at Marketplace Foods in Hayward, Wisconsin. As a Cake Artist, you will have the opportunity to bring your passion and creativity to life, designing and decorating cakes and baked goods for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers to understand their needs and preferences, and bring their vision to life through cake design and decoration.
- Mix, bake, and package a variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, and pastries.
- Offer samples to customers and encourage them to add additional items to their shopping carts to contribute to department sales goals.
- Work with the Bakery Manager and team to ensure the sales floor is filled with products and customers are satisfied with our offerings and services.
- Practice good food safety and follow general workplace safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
- Previous baking and/or decorating experience is preferred.
