We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is recognized for its innovative approach within Caterpillar. Our focus is on customer satisfaction and enhancing their ability to build a better world. We engage in every aspect of the service value chain, from procurement and design to manufacturing and distribution. PSLD oversees Aftermarket Parts Distribution, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement, and the design and manufacture of Wear and Maintenance Components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with master planners to address outsourcing requirements; establish blanket purchase orders and manage vendor inventory.
  • Identify and spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain processes.
  • Support customer interactions and lead proposal efforts, including pricing and supplier selection.
  • Maintain supply chain application systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist with automation software and perform testing and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Adhere to operational safety protocols.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on automated equipment and robotics.
Required Qualifications:
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analysis techniques and tools; capable of identifying root causes of organizational challenges and developing effective solutions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; adept at resolving technical issues across hardware and software.
  • Process Improvement: Familiarity with best practices in business process enhancement; skilled in identifying and implementing more efficient operational methods.
  • Project Management: Knowledgeable in project management strategies; able to plan, organize, and monitor projects effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across various departments and with external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment controls and software.
  • Understanding of warehousing processes.
  • Technical knowledge of automated systems, particularly in mechanical or electrical domains.
