Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Foundry Assistant to join our team at PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies. As a Foundry Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our casting, ingot, and metals department to ensure productivity and throughput goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with loading or unloading casting furnaces to ensure efficient production.
  • Participate in general departmental clean-up, including sweeping and shoveling of debris, to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  • Prepare molds for filling with molten metals, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Clean furnaces and assist in the servicing, repair, and preparation for the operation of casting equipment.
  • Adhere to all department and company procedures and policies, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
  • Participate in safety improvement initiatives and teamwork improvement events to drive continuous improvement.
  • Meet established production rates consistent with quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Production operation experience preferred, but not required.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
  • Ability to take a baseline hearing test prior to starting.
Working Conditions
  • The job is performed under reasonably good working conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, and machinery.
Schedule
  • Alternating Weekend Day Shift: Thursday - Sunday, Week 1; Friday-Sunday, Week 2 ($1.25/hr. shift differential)
  • Alternating Weekday Graveyard Shift: Thursday - Sunday, Week 1; Friday-Sunday, Week 2 ($1.25/hr. shift differential)
  • Alternating Weekend Graveyard Shift: Thursday - Sunday, Week 1; Friday-Sunday, Week 2 ($2.50/hr. shift differential)
