Role ResponsibilitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care by creating and implementing tailored therapy programs for individuals with communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of patients' speech and language capabilities through conversation and standardized testing.
- Designing and executing personalized therapy plans to enhance communication skills.
- Regularly evaluating patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient progress, including notes and discharge summaries.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to determine the best course of action for patient care.
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Valid Speech Pathology License in Missouri or a temporary license upon hire.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
- Current BLS certification required upon hire.
