We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Lee's Summit Medical Center. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by developing and implementing individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify communication and swallowing impairments.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve patient communication and swallowing abilities.
- Evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Document patient progress and communicate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care.
- Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director to determine appropriate patient placement and treatment plans.
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited school.
- Current Missouri Speech Pathology License or temporary license required upon hire.
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current BLS certification required upon hire.
- Minimum of successful completion of clinical internships and Clinical Fellowship required.
- 1-year hospital/health-related experience preferred.
