Cost Analyst at Vali Incorporated

Vali Incorporated is seeking a proficient Cost Analyst to join our Cost Estimating division, playing a vital role in the development, integration, and execution of the Missile Defense Agency's Missile Defense System. As a Cost Estimating Analyst, you will significantly contribute to ensuring the financial integrity and efficiency of our Defense Acquisition initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain comprehensive Life Cycle Cost Estimates and models.
  • Examine and present cost-related information.
  • Conduct detailed excursions.

Key Duties:

  • Independently formulate accurate cost estimates, cost estimating relationships, and intricate cost models.
  • Establish complex cost estimating relationships utilizing advanced mathematical techniques.
  • Enhance project understanding by reviewing Cost Analysis Requirements Documents (CARDS).
  • Scrutinize critical cost data from contractors' documentation to construct a dependable cost database.
  • Engage in detailed cost studies and collaborative analysis of alternatives.
  • Organize and oversee cost data, technical baseline information, and perform cost-focused research and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related disciplines (master's degree preferred).
  • Experience in Cost Estimating, Budget/Financial Management, Systems Engineering, or Data Analytics.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DoD Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate strategically.
  • Self-driven and capable of managing multiple complex projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially Excel, with advanced functions and pivot table expertise.
  • Knowledge of cost risk tools such as ACEIT, @Risk, and certification in ICEAA.
