Job Summary

Joe Cooper Ford Pro Elite is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ford Diagnostic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues on diesel and gas vehicles, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Primarily diagnose and identify required service on diesel and gas vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with Ford and/or dealership standards.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist other technicians with overflow service and repair, providing estimates for additional automotive repairs and recommended maintenance.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs are completed, and ensure that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with service advisors and parts department personnel, participating in company and Ford certification training and education to further develop expertise.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: High school diploma or GED required, post-secondary automotive training or equivalent work experience and Ford certification required.
  • Experience and Skills: One year of dealer-level, truck, or large facility experience preferred, broad scope of automotive mechanical/electrical knowledge, unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress, highly professional and dependable, safety and customer service oriented.
