Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will assist licensed therapists in providing high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with ambulation, transfers, mobility activities, ADLs, exercise programs, functional cognitive/communication, and leisure activities.
  • Communicate daily with licensed therapists regarding patient treatment plans.
  • Perform routine duties as assigned, including ensuring treatment areas are sanitary and tidy.
  • Attend job-related training events and meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Demonstrate flexibility with work assignments and provide weekday and weekend coverage for rehab continuum.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience as an aide and/or other healthcare experience preferred.
  • Current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work independently and possess good interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The worker must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the wrist, fingers, or hands. The worker is subject to inside environmental/atmospheric conditions such as poor ventilation and is also subject to hazards such as exposure to chemicals.
