Position Overview:

The Automotive Customer Care Consultant plays a crucial role in delivering an exceptional experience for our guests while supporting the sales of automotive repair services and tires. This role is integral to the business's growth through effective sales presentations and comprehensive product knowledge. You will engage with customers over the phone and in-store, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued during their visit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete Monro's training program to effectively implement the Monro sales approach.
  • Act as the primary contact for customers, both via phone and in-person, responsible for engaging with them, scheduling appointments, building rapport, identifying needs, and presenting necessary services according to the Monro sales process.
  • Assist management in various customer care tasks, including work order completion, register assistance, facility upkeep, and ordering of outside purchases.
  • Serve as a secondary key carrier, handling basic and detailed opening and closing tasks.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures regarding cash handling, credit, checks, refunds, and returns. Collaborate with management to address customer service challenges and identify business opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively about all products and services offered by Monro.
  • Work alongside management to maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
  • Ensure the customer waiting area is organized and tidy.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • At least one year of sales experience is required.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in an automotive service setting.
  • Strong verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to accurately document sales work orders and explain services to customers effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability to work during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must frequently lift, carry, and position merchandise and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Frequent standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Regular reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Ability to climb ladders to retrieve and stock merchandise.
  • Effective communication in person, by phone, or using telecommunications equipment.
  • Proficient in entering and locating information on a computer.
  • Must safely operate a motor vehicle.
