Job Summary: Collaborate with education consultants and managers to develop, design, deliver, and evaluate education strategies and special projects/programs based on client departmental goals and needs. Implement education programs and strategies to meet regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs to meet regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
  • Design, develop, and coordinate continuing professional education for staff.
  • Collaborate with consultants to develop special projects in professional education, development, and learning.
  • Communicate and market education programs to a broad target audience using appropriate methods.
  • Participate in classroom instruction on developed projects.
  • Make recommendations for cost/quality strategies and work within budget.
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate orientation, cross-training, and education/competency processes/systems for clinical staff.
  • Respond to corporate and industry changes in clinical practice and provide necessary training, education, and development.
  • Ensure compliance and documentation of organizational records based on regulatory agency standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of previous teaching experience or recent experience in in-service education in a clinical service area.
  • Bachelor's degree or four years of experience in a directly related field.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Registered Nurse License (California).
  • International Board Lactation Consultant Examiners Certificate within 12 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree.
  • CPR instructor preferred.
  • Certified Lactation Educator (CLE).
  • Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
  • BLS.
  • PALS.
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • BSN preferred.
