Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Surgical Services/Operating Room department at St. John's Episcopal Hospital. As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all reports are submitted and all meetings are arranged in a timely basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain good departmental relations with all participants to ensure staff, patient, and departmental needs are met.
  • Take minutes of meetings and ensure timely submission of reports.
  • Gather and assemble data for special projects relative to administrative activities.
  • Schedule appointments and keep the calendar for the AVP Integrated Case Management and Population Health.
  • Perform typing and filing duties.
  • Generate purchase requisitions for office supplies and materials.
  • Answer telephones, screen calls, and record accurate messages.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or Equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience working in an acute care facility in an Administrative/Secretarial capacity.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer relations skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Salary: $55,000 - $62,000 per year.
