Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RF Engineer, Principal (Radar) to join our team at Chenega Corporation. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing new capabilities used by tracking radars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop complex system modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide the most appropriate technical solution.
  • Plan, conduct, and assist the project manager in the execution of engineering projects.
  • Coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel for assigned projects.
  • Analyze, develop, recommend, and implement approaches to meet customer requirements.
  • Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  • Provide expertise to restore operational systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or another STEM-related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant radar engineering experience.
  • Experience working with RF, including local oscillators, doublers, mixers, and attenuators.
  • Working knowledge of monopulse radar tracking systems and/or shipboard radar systems.
  • Experience working with high-power tube and solid-state RF amplifiers.
  • Experience with C-band pulsed Doppler tracking and wideband coherent imaging systems.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with legacy range radar types (AN/FPQ-6, AN/FPQ-14, AN/FPS-16, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of antenna tracking systems.
  • Experience with digital interface design, including familiarization with interface modules, cable/wire types, and connector systems.
  • Experience with hardware systems integration and testing.
  • Experience providing inputs for engineering project proposals within defined time constraints.
