Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics team at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Pulaski. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care, applying the nursing process to plan and implement care for patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide care to patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, newborn, and GYN surgery patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse, and record patient care activities, including assessment, reassessment, and ongoing treatment notes within the patient's medical record.
  • Provide patient and family education related to treatment, diagnosis, medications, discharge, and self-care, and promote patient care following nursing standards of care to ensure excellent outcomes and prevent harm to patients.
  • Participate in Foundation Safety Behavior Tools and Tactics, such as Briefs, Debriefs, Huddles, Learning Board Activities, Executive Patient Safety Rounds, and reporting of unanticipated and unintended patient events.
Requirements
  • Must possess an active TN RN license or a compact state license with the intent to obtain a TN RN license within 30 days of hire.
  • Current BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire date.
  • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course certification at time of hire or obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification current or within 6 months of hire.
  • ACLS certification current or within 90 days of hire date.
  • NRP certification current or within 90 days of hire date.
