As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment plants, while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of safety-related devices, including fire extinguishers, emergency eye wash stations, and confined space equipment.

  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment plants, outfalls, and lagoons in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Perform monthly jar testing and annual chemical usage reviews to optimize treatment processes and minimize costs.

  • Track chemical usage and wastewater sampling data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate laboratory analysis and prepare Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs) as required.

  • Complete operations and maintenance activities, inspections, and sampling as required by regulations and permit conditions.

  • Meet with facility personnel to discuss waste minimization and reduction strategies.

  • Perform WWTP/OWS cleaning and maintenance as needed.

  • Complete weekly notifications summaries and after-hours services as required.

  • Review and maintain necessary plans, permits, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Perform other WWTP duties as necessary and requested.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a wastewater treatment plant environment.

  • Wastewater operator's certification required.

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.

  • Effective observational and organizational skills, with experience recording detailed technical data a plus.

  • Effective communication skills with ERM and client staff.
