Description: Key Responsibilities

Primary Objective

Compiles standard and specialized financial documents (e.g., balance sheets, income statements) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Conducts financial evaluations for management reporting and external agencies. Supplies business intelligence to support management decision-making or adhere to regulatory agency reporting requirements.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Generates and reviews financial statements, schedules, and data requests for both internal and external stakeholders.

Addresses accounting inquiries or challenges and offers resolutions.

Collaborates with various departments and affiliates to gather and disseminate information promptly.

Assists in the analysis of special projects within the accounting department or in partnership with other departments.

Accurately prepares journal entries within specified timeframes.

Conducts account reconciliations and evaluations.

Adheres to internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations related to accounting and financial systems.

Provides operational personnel and management with accounting support and analysis on projects as necessary to ensure timely and precise reporting.

Ensures compliance with all aspects of the position; understands and follows all policies, codes, and regulations relevant to the role and the organization.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Education, Skills, and Environment

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting or a related discipline, with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. If the degree is in a related field, completion of college-level accounting coursework is required for Nevada CPAs.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Demonstrated understanding of:

  • Accounting principles and GAAP.

Proven skills such as:

  • Attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving, research, communication, analytical, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to foster and maintain effective relationships with colleagues.

Tools and Applications
Proficient in PCs, financial spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and accounting software.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Standard office setting. Consistent workload levels throughout the month. No specific physical demands required.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $66,300 (Min) to $78,000 (Mid); Up to 10% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
