Job Summary

BB&E, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to support our NAVFAC MIDLANT Program in Great Lakes, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting field evaluations, generating review comments, and ensuring design compliance with code standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site visits to assess electrical systems design requirements and ensure compliance with code standards.
  • Generate review comments for electrical design submittals and ensure comments are resolved and incorporated into the design.
  • Witness acceptance testing and provide troubleshooting recommendations for electrical equipment and systems.
  • Use AutoCAD and/or REVIT software, Microsoft Office products, and other applicable DoD computer systems and software.
  • Produce results of analysis in writing and consolidate findings of others.
Requirements
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the discipline of Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Knowledge of DoD and Navy guide specifications, criteria, and policy, industry codes and standards, and standard practices as related to electrical engineering design.
  • Knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting electrical engineering design.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, planning, and project management techniques, including the ability to coordinate the work of others and lead teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional electrical engineering code compliant facilities design experience for new construction, including renovation design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering program from an Accreditation Board for Engineers and Technology (ABET) is required.
