Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Wyndham Garden Norfolk Downtown. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Inspect and monitor buildings, equipment, and grounds to determine maintenance and preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Ensure accurate record keeping for the Preventative Maintenance program via EMPOWER / Guest Experience (GXP) software in a way that will guarantee a brand standard acceptable score on the MHR BSA audit.
  • Team Leadership: Develop work procedures, assign personnel, and supervise the Engineering team to ensure the best services and productivity.
  • Cost Estimation: Prepare and submit cost estimates and repair options, including suggestions as to feasibility, logical solution, and actual needs of a departmental maintenance request.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED), or Work Equivalent; experience in advanced maintenance skills and aptitude plus advanced skills in all aspects of running an engineering department.
  • Skills: Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred; experience with hotel systems such as MICROS preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 50 pounds; push/pull carts and other equipment up to 250 pounds; endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
