Mendocino Animal Hospital is a 4-veterinarian, AAHA and Feline Friendly accredited veterinary hospital located in Ukiah, California. Our hospital is situated in a picturesque valley surrounded by redwoods, just 1 hour from the California coastline and 2 hours north of San Francisco.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a vital member of our veterinary hospital, you will have the opportunity to utilize your skills and expertise in a variety of areas, including IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, anesthesiology, medication administration, radiology, laboratory, dentistry, surgery, and feline friendly techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Perform IV catheter placement and phlebotomy
  • Assist with anesthesiology and medication administration
  • Conduct radiology and laboratory procedures
  • Participate in dentistry and surgery
  • Apply feline friendly techniques
  • Provide client education
Qualifications and Skills
  • Current license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in California
  • Out-of-state candidates must be licensed in their current state and have passed the VTNE
  • Relocation to Ukiah, CA required
Benefits
  • Salary ranging from $26 to $31 per hour depending on skill level
  • $650 per month toward medical and dental benefits package
  • $200 uniform allowance
  • $500 per year continuing education allowance
  • 6 paid holidays
  • 24 hours sick leave
  • Vacation time: 36 hours first year, 72 hours second year, 96 hours third year
