Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in New Berlin, WI. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on hands-on projects with cutting-edge automation technology, develop your skills in PLC programming, HMI, and advanced control systems, and collaborate with a skilled team to troubleshoot unique challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Customize crane control systems using pre-existing software modules.
  • Support factory acceptance, commissioning, and ongoing lifecycle management of material handling equipment.
  • Modify PLC software to align with customer specifications.
  • Monitor and replace obsolete automation equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to resolve control and software issues.
  • Travel to customer sites for on-site troubleshooting as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, or Automation Engineering.
  • Some experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly with Siemens PLC and HMI programming.
  • Familiarity with variable frequency drives, control systems, NEC electrical codes, and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year based on location and experience.
