Position Overview:
The International Spare Parts Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional parts support to clients utilizing Gala Underwater Pelletizing Systems. This position also encompasses support for third-party equipment parts associated with the Gala systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients across Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia to facilitate quotes and process orders efficiently.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of export shipping regulations, including Incoterms.
- Prepare specialized commercial invoices and packing slips for customs clearance.
- Collaborate with both US and international freight forwarders to identify optimal shipping solutions.
- Proactively pursue orders from clients and ensure seamless processing through the internal system.
- Coordinate with the service department to manage service, warranty, and no-charge orders.
- Interpret engineering drawings to assist clients in identifying necessary parts.
- Generate tailored spare parts quotes for both new and existing systems.
- Work closely with engineering, technical service, operations, and major equipment sales teams to develop customer-centric solutions.
- Issue return authorizations and manage the return process, determining any necessary credits or repairs.
- Conduct Visual Compliance Screens and assist with Know Your Customer documentation.
- Establish pricing for commercial parts.
- Fulfill a standard 40-hour work week, with potential overtime as required.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment:
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional visits to the shop floor requiring appropriate safety footwear and personal protective equipment. Travel to customer locations may also be necessary.
Physical Demands:
The physical requirements for this position include regular communication and auditory engagement, frequent sitting and typing, and continuous interaction with computer systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a customer service environment; at least 3 years in a customer service role with familiarity in international shipping regulations.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; excellent verbal and written communication abilities; highly organized and efficient; strong problem-solving skills; team-oriented with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
