Join our dedicated team at Piedmont Airlines, where we share a deep passion for aviation and a commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable professional to fill the role of an Avionics Systems Specialist within our Maintenance Department.

The primary focus of this position is to conduct both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft avionics systems and components. The Avionics Systems Specialist will report directly to the Avionics Supervisor.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and replace aircraft communication, navigational, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct functional testing and inspections of avionics across our fleet.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Associate's degree in electronics or avionics systems, or a minimum of two years of experience in aircraft electronics and avionics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in mechanical operations.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
  • Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Restricted Radio-Telephone Operator Certificate.


Work Environment:
  • Standard office setting with the use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment.
  • Airport ramp and warehouse environment, subject to varying weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.


Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent activities including stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to handle objects weighing up to 70 pounds regularly, and up to 100+ pounds occasionally with assistance.

Employment is contingent upon a valid driver's license and a clear driving record, along with a comprehensive background check and drug screening as required. Proof of high school or GED completion is also necessary, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years.
