Core Duties

  • Address and resolve reported issues for personnel and clients concerning hardware, operating systems, software, and connectivity challenges.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and diagnose computer hardware, operating systems, software, and network problems at client sites.
  • Ensure system reliability through advanced analytical methods, prompt incident resolution, and proactive maintenance to maximize availability and minimize Mean Time-to-Repair, thereby enhancing customer productivity.
  • Reimage computers and laptops as necessary.
  • Conduct regular PC refreshes and Windows updates, alongside upgrading hardware and systems.
  • Recover computers and laptops from hard drive failures.
  • Manage databases and uphold system security.
  • Implement monthly patch management for the customer IT environment.
  • Execute device installations, relocations, additions, modifications, and deletions on customer devices following proper Change Control and backup procedures.
  • Oversee inventories of hardware and software licenses in collaboration with the Asset Management Team.
  • Maintain network diagrams and circuit documentation.
  • Document procedures and conduct diagnostic assessments.
  • Educate end-users on hardware functionality and software applications.
  • Evaluate customer feedback regarding their interactions with the Desktop Support team.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and trends in IT support.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT-related roles supporting end-user computing devices.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows and Mac OS.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing desktop support within a federal government agency.
  • Proficiency in using Remedy or ServiceNow as a CRM tool.
  • Microsoft IT Support Certification.
  • ITIL v3 Certification.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Safe Practitioner 5.1.
  • Safe Dev-Ops 5.1.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
