Responsibilities of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant

As a Geriatric Nursing Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate care to seniors, including:

  • Observing and reporting changes in residents' health and well-being.
  • Providing personal care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Assisting with mobility and transferring residents.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • A current Maryland Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
  • Fluency in medical terminology and nursing care procedures.
  • Strong organizational and observational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
