* Develop and manage prospective and existing client relationships.
* Participate in professional and community activities and contribute to firm-wide marketing initiatives.
* Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and IRS representatives regarding tax matters.
* Provide training and leadership for senior and staff accountants and seasonal interns.
* Review and understand financial documents and statements from clients.
* Prepare client billings and follow up with clients regarding unpaid invoices.
* Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Prepare internal memoranda, written correspondence, and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department.
* Work effectively in a team environment with principals, managers, and staff.
* Understand and effectively use current tax and accounting software applications.
* Professionally represent the Firm at business and community functions.
Requirements:
* Associate degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
* 4 years of tax and accounting experience in a CPA firm.
* Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
* Proficient in Excel and Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of organization, focus, and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
* BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field.
* 5+ years of tax and accounting experience in a CPA firm.
* Experience with ProSystems Tax Preparation software and QuickBooks.
* CPA exam passed and license is active or actively working toward passing CPA exam.
* Customer service oriented, demonstrated by proactive, observant, knowledgeable, and reliable attributes.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, and type/enter data at a keyboard regularly.
