Tax Manager

The Tax Supervisor at Creative Planning plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional tax preparation, review, and ancillary services to clients. This position involves direct client interaction, relationship building, and seeking opportunities for growth and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a comprehensive range of specialized tax, compliance, and consulting services in accordance with laws, regulations, and timelines.
- Stay up-to-date on and apply basic accounting standards and education to identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Ensure accountability in the workflow for client engagements, guaranteeing quality completion of all work.
- Provide innovative tax planning and identify opportunities to mitigate tax risks.
- Act as a resource for staff and senior accountants, offering feedback and guidance.
- Understand and adhere to client confidentiality standards and demonstrate awareness of firm's risk management policies and procedures.
- Build authentic relationships with clients through all interactions and identify areas where Creative Planning can further their business and goals.
- Participate in business development meetings to build strong relationships and drive new client projects and revenue.
- Explore industry specialization and industry-focused service, including attending peer group meetings or industry organization involvement.
- Support the growth and professional development of yourself and your Creative Planning teammates by participating in firm-sponsored trainings, CPE courses, internal committees, and mentorship opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with your team, striving for open and honest dialogue in all interactions.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field of study or a master's degree in taxation.
- CPA certification is highly preferred.
- 4+ years of professional services experience with a record of high achievement is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, teamwork, and organizational skills.

- PC proficiency, including spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software applications.
