As a Strategic HR Business Partner Director, you will play a critical role in helping to drive and achieve business objectives, providing outstanding internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and scalable growth in an exciting and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a liaison between business units and partner with HR-focused teams to develop and execute initiatives in areas such as staffing, performance management, diversity, equity, and inclusion, culture, leadership development, training and development, employee relations, employee engagement, employee retention, compliance, mentoring, employee welfare, and compensation, and benefits.
- Prepare recommendations to top leadership concerning HR policies and practices, and work with line/staff management and corporate staff management to develop HR plans and strategies to meet organizational requirements.
- Diagnose challenges, research and analyze issues, and develop appropriate solutions quickly, then lean in, consult with, and teach the business how decisions affect their sites and create new mechanisms as they are needed.
- Effectively present information to internal and external partners and customers, and establish respect, credibility, and trust at all levels of the organization.
- Coach senior leaders, managers, and supervisors, and lead and develop teams/project teams with the ability to inspire, motivate, influence, and hold colleagues accountable to high standards.
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent experience) in Human Resources or other relevant degree field.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
- 16+ years of demonstrated experience as an HR practitioner with progressive HR business partner responsibilities.
- Expertise in one or more key HR functional areas (e.g. leadership/talent development, talent management, total rewards, compensation, and benefits, talent acquisition, diversity, equity, and inclusion, data analysis, workplace accommodations, performance management, employee engagement, retention, policy, etc.).
- Experience leading and developing teams/project teams with the ability to inspire, motivate, influence, and hold colleagues accountable to high standards.
- Experience and strong track record providing excellent HR support to customers.
- Demonstrated excellence in working well as part of a close-knit team.
- Strong knowledge and experience with an HR Information System.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality.
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with Workday HRIS.
- Post-graduate degree or related certification (e.g SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or equivalent certification).
- Experience working in the US federal government contracting industry.
