RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking a PRN Nuclear Medicine Technologist to become part of our dedicated team.

We are redefining the standards in radiology, making it an essential first step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

Role Responsibilities:
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will conduct all Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.

You will also be expected to proactively enhance your understanding and expertise in the field, staying informed about advancements and new procedures.

Key Duties Include:

  • Performing routine and advanced PET/CT procedures on specified body areas for diagnostic purposes with minimal supervision.
  • Screening patients prior to procedures for any necessary precautions or contraindications.
  • Explaining and preparing patients for PET/CT procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Adjusting scan parameters accurately, utilizing dose reduction techniques as necessary.
  • Maintaining a positive rapport with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Assessing, preparing, recording, and administering radiopharmaceuticals in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Administering fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) intravenously to patients.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Reporting any contamination incidents to the Radiation Safety Officer.
  • Maintaining precise patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Ensuring compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Performing general maintenance and quality control on PET/CT equipment.
  • Conducting departmental surveys to adhere to radiation safety standards.
  • Executing additional tasks as assigned.

Position Status:
This is a temporary/PRN position.

Qualifications:

Required:
- NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Licensed technologist in the relevant state, if applicable.
- Current CPR certification.
- Sufficient training and experience to independently perform radiographic procedures.
- Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance.

Preferred:
- ARRT certification in CT.
- NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
