Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Supervisor to join our team at Advocate Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our radiology department, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and that our staff is equipped to provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality assurance and performance improvement programs to ensure optimal patient care and safety
  • Lead and manage a team of radiologic technologists, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal care
  • Develop and maintain an in-service program for radiologic technologists to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies
  • Investigate patient and staff complaints and respond in a timely and professional manner
  • Participate in the budget process and ensure that departmental expenses are managed effectively
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure that our department is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (CNMT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • 3 years of experience in a recognized imaging modality, with proven technical knowledge of assigned modality and experience as a lead or senior level staff
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent human relations, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and film processing chemicals. They will also be required to wear protective clothing, including lead aprons and isolation gowns, when necessary.
