About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

Job Summary

This is a dynamic opportunity to provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment and working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations, in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Image processing, utilizing the current RIS and PACS system, and working under the supervision of radiologists as needed.
  • Patient/transport, file work, restocking supplies/cleaning, and responsible for patient registration and patient scheduling.
  • Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
  • Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required at hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
  • Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, experience with McKesson PACS, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
