Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Salem, Oregon. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, including clerical duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment.
  • Using skills and abilities required for the age of the patient served, including routine, emergent, portable, surgical, and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
  • Image processing, understanding, and using the current RIS and PACS system.
  • Working under the supervision of a radiologist on an as-needed basis and collaborating with radiologists on film quality assurance, exam clarification, and ECG performance.
  • Patient registration, patient scheduling, and restocking supplies/cleaning.
  • Participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required.
Requirements
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) or Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon).
  • Basic Life Support within one month of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging, and healthcare computer systems.
  • Demonstrating customer-focused service skills and proficiency in radiology equipment and exams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three years.
  • Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, and organizational relations.
  • Adaptability, following policies and procedures, flexibility, experience with McKesson PACS, and experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Associates degree in Radiologic Science or a related field.
