Position Overview

Maxwell Plumb Mechanical is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in estimating and project management within the HVAC industry.

Compensation: $90,000 - $140,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to fulfill project specifications.
  • Oversee project progress, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations to estimate costs for plumbing and HVAC projects.
  • Provide technical support to HVAC technicians, leveraging expertise in controls and engineering.
  • Assist in the preparation of contracts, including material and labor estimates.
  • Engage with potential clients to build relationships and promote services.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer value through innovative products and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Manage project budgets and monitor expenses closely.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive project reports.
  • Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Maintain open communication with clients to understand their needs and provide updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in the HVAC field.
  • 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Demonstrated project management experience of at least 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of cost management and project scheduling.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks effectively.
  • OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
  • PMP certification or commitment to obtain within one year.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.

Work Environment: This position requires travel and work on various job sites.
