Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager plays a critical role in the success of our stores, assisting the Store Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations. This includes ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, providing leadership and guidance to store staff, and assuming responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Experience
- Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience, ensuring that customers receive exceptional service and support.
- Address customer issues promptly and effectively, resolving problems to the satisfaction of our customers.
- Store Operations
- Assist the Store Manager in managing all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory, and visual merchandising.
- Ensure that all store operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Development
- Provide leadership and guidance to store staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.
- Inventory and Loss Prevention
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that all merchandise is accurately priced and displayed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Payroll and Scheduling
- Assist the Store Manager in managing payroll and scheduling, including ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience, preferably in a footwear or accessories store.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and management.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
