Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Boston Public Schools. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing services to students with communication disabilities, enabling them to access the curriculum and participate fully in school and community life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate students referred for assessment using standardized testing instruments and write comprehensive reports that provide clear recommendations.
  • Provide speech and language therapy services to students based on individual needs, in compliance with IEPs and 504 Plans.
  • Participate in pre-referral, Team Meeting, and Student Support Team activities, and provide professional development to school-based staff as requested.
  • Consult with other Related Services providers, teachers, and parents to provide effective services in various settings.
Qualifications
  • Massachusetts Teachers Certification in Speech, Language and Hearing Disorders and Massachusetts License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Hold a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Meet all state and federal guidelines for licensure.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in public school settings with urban youth.
